M. Perez
An organized and committed professional with 27 years of teaching experience with proven guidance and counseling skills. Possesses a strong track record in effective classroom teaching, including Pearson A-level, IGCSE biology, IB, IMAT, and BMAT preparation as well as other medical schools' entrance exams. Experienced and skilled at communicating complex information in a simple and entertaining manner, with a clear understanding of students’ learning progression. During her career, she undertook the following positions: UCAS advisor (which entailed to advise students throughout their University application), edit and improve personal statements for University applicants, and provide strong reference letters for University applicants. Additionally, she acted as a MEDPREP coordinator (focusing on the BMAT essay component), advise and support UK medical/dental/veterinary applicants during their application process (Russell Universities) including interview preparation as well as improving their knowledge on ethical issues / dilemmas of the UK and help them understand the complexity of the NHS. Moreover, took the role of the Pearson IGCSE Consultant for Biology, Chemistry and Physics Specification 2017 which entailed providing input with regards to changes for the science subjects 9-1 specifications, developed sample assessments and mark schemes and edited specifications. Currently, aside from teaching Pearson A level and IGCSE Biology, she is also a Pearson Examiner.

Anna Economou
Anna is an exceptionally talented and highly motivated individual whose enquiring mind has led her to numerous impressive and unique achievements in the field of science. She is currently in her final year of medical studies at the University of Cambridge, where she is placed at Addenbrooke's Hospital. She also holds a BA (Hons) degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, completed in 2021.
Anna achieved top grades in her A-levels, receiving multiple prestigious awards for academic excellence, including the Highest International Mark for A-level Physics, the Highest International Mark for A-level Chemistry, and the Highest International Mark for IGCSE Mathematics. Demonstrating her exceptional aptitude for science, Anna was repeatedly selected over a decade to represent her country in various International Mathematics Competitions as part of the Cyprus National Mathematics team. She participated in numerous international contests, including the esteemed International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), earning many international and national distinctions.
Anna's outstanding performance on the BMAT placed her among the top 2% worldwide. She received offers to study Medicine from Cambridge, Imperial, and UCL, and is now completing her education at the prestigious medical school of the University of Cambridge.
Beyond her academic achievements, Anna has seven years of dedicated experience tutoring IGCSE and A-level science subjects and preparing students for medical and engineering admission tests. She currently serves as a tutor for a London company. Anna is a passionate and skilled tutor and mentor. Her unique experiences in abstract problem-solving under time pressure have honed her ability to convey score-boosting strategies and time-saving techniques to her students. She is committed to driving each of her trainees to reach their maximum potential and achieve excellence in their exams while enjoying the learning process.

Ioannis Hadjihannas
Ioannis is an intelligent and understanding individual who truly believes in hard work. Through his undying work ethic and passion for the field of sciences, he has managed to achieve a full set of A*s in all his A levels. Ioannis possesses a lot of competitive qualities that have allowed him to get interviews and secure places in the top Medical schools of the UK. His BMAT and UCAT scores were in the top decile, and he is currently in his 5th year of Medical school. Ioannis' pursuit of success never stops. He’s University roles include: first-year representative at Barts and the London school of Medicine and Dentistry, Vice-President and currently a two-year Presidency of the Orthopaedic Society. He has led and helped organise some of the biggest National trauma conferences for undergraduate students in the UK, securing sponsorships from the top pharmaceutical/medical industry companies in the world. He co-founded ‘Medic-aid’, a tutoring company that has helped dozens of students achieve their dream of persuing a medical career in the UK. His determination and motivation which is driven by the challenge of helping others get into their dream Medical school will reflect on the quality of teaching during this IMAT course.

Yiota Palazi
Yiota has been teaching Science and Chemistry for the past 4 years. Her vision: To inspire and cultivate a deep understanding and passion for chemistry in every student. Her mission: To provide an engaging, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that drives desired results. Her motto: Bring in your best and leave better! From the very beginning of her studies in pure Chemistry, she has worked as laboratory demonstrator for younger students. When she graduated, she undertook teaching placements in colleges at underdeveloped regions in the UK. Having always been committed to growth and learning, she had been selected to work on the design and development of a novel vaccine platform, under MRC grants, through which a scientific article was published in the prestigious Vaccines journal. Following having worked as a research assistant taking part in many projects in organic chemistry and applied microbiology, including development of proteins to down-regulate Alzheimer’s disease as well as paramount involvement in pre-clinical trials, she returned to Cyprus to build a strong student community encouraging life-long learning. Beyond teaching GCSE, GCE and IB Chemistry with great success, she also works in the food industry where her role entails quality control and health and safety procedures, research and development projects and management systems advisory, continuously seeking professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest advancements in education and engaging with the scientific community through conferences on sustainability and drug development.

Stelios Stylianou
Stelios joined the University of Cambridge in 2017, where he achieved both his bachelor's and master’s degrees in mathematics. He has been doing his PhD in mathematics at the University of Bristol since 2021. In addition to his research, he is also involved in teaching, as he provides tutorials and support sessions for the undergraduate students. He has also provided lessons outside of university in various ways. For example, he has been preparing students for their university interviews and admissions tests in mathematics. Having taken part in numerous national and international mathematical Olympiads as a student himself, he has now taken up the responsibility of preparing the national team of Cyprus for such competitions. He always enjoys the challenge of teaching mathematics in a new context and will do his best to equip you with the skillset required to do well in your exam.
